Her work “The Holy Family Belongs to Each One of Us” won an honorable mention in the Catholic Media Association’s Catholic Press Awards in the category of “Best Reporting of Social Justice Issues: Solidarity.” Veronica also won an honorable mention for "Best Essay" for the piece, "How to Talk to Those Who Disagree With You--And Still Love Them."
Veronica writes a monthly newsletter, which won an honorable mention for "Best Blog: Expression of Faith", called Playing Fetch at Dawn and other ways to find grace in everyday life.
She is currently working on her memoir tentatively titled, "No Expectations: The story of a stray turned service dog and how she tamed her humans along the way."
